Faucet Repair & Fixture Installation in Longmont, CO
A dripping faucet, a shower that will not hold its temperature or a sink that leaks underneath are small problems that get expensive if you ignore them. We fix them properly, or install something better.
Faucet Repair in Longmont, Plus Every Fixture Around It
Faucets and fixtures take more abuse than any other part of your plumbing. They get turned on and off dozens of times a day, and in Longmont they do it with hard water that leaves scale on every seat, cartridge and aerator it touches. Eventually something drips, sticks, sprays sideways or stops delivering hot water the way it used to.
M&M Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electrical has repaired and installed faucets and fixtures in Front Range homes since 1996. Our licensed plumbers handle kitchen and bathroom faucets, shower and tub valves, sink drain assemblies, tub spouts, handheld sprayers, outdoor hose bibs and the shutoff valves and supply lines behind all of them. If a part is worth replacing, we replace it. If the fixture is corroded, discontinued or simply worn out, we will say so and show you options that fit your budget.
We install fixtures you have already purchased as well as ones we supply, and we are glad to make recommendations. Modern faucets and low-flow fixtures use noticeably less water than the ones they replace without feeling weak, which matters on a Colorado water bill.
Planning a bigger update, like moving a sink or adding a second shower head? Our remodeling team can take that on. For everything else, from a single drip to a whole bathroom’s worth of new fixtures, we show up on time, quote the work upfront and leave the space clean.
Faucet & Fixture Services for Every Room
Kitchen, bathroom, laundry and outdoors. If water comes out of it, we service it.
Dripping or Leaking Faucets
A steady drip usually means a worn cartridge, O-ring or valve seat. We rebuild or replace the internals on most brands, and we will tell you when a new faucet is the smarter spend.
Shower & Tub Valves
Temperature that swings when another fixture runs, a handle that is hard to turn, or water that leaks behind the wall all trace back to the valve. We repair cartridges and replace worn or outdated valves with modern pressure-balancing units.
- Pressure-balancing and thermostatic valves
- Tub spout and diverter repair
- Handheld and rain shower head installs
Sinks & Drain Assemblies
Leaks under the sink, a pop-up stopper that will not hold water, a corroded basket strainer or a cracked basin. We repair the drain assembly, replace the trap and install new kitchen and bathroom sinks.
Low Flow or Sputtering
Weak pressure at one faucet is usually scale in the aerator or cartridge, a kinked supply line or a shutoff valve that is partly closed. We clear or replace the restriction and get the flow back.
Shutoff Valves & Supply Lines
The small valves under sinks and behind toilets seize up over the years, and old supply lines can burst without warning. We replace them with quarter-turn valves and braided lines so you can shut water off fast when you need to.
New Fixture Installation
Upgrading a kitchen faucet, swapping in a touchless model, adding a pot filler or replacing a whole bathroom's worth of fixtures. We install what you bought or help you choose, and make sure everything is sealed and secure.
- Kitchen and bathroom faucets
- Touchless and pull-down models
- Outdoor hose bibs and frost-free spigots
The M&M Difference
Fixture work is detail work. Here is how we make sure it is done once.
Repair First, Replace When It Makes Sense
We carry cartridges, seats, O-rings and supply lines for the common brands and fix what can be fixed. When a fixture is beyond saving, we say so and give you options, not pressure.
Upfront Pricing
You get the full price before any work begins, whether it is a ten-minute cartridge swap or a full bathroom refit. No hourly meter running while we hunt for parts.
24/7, No Overtime Charge
A supply line that lets go under the sink does not care what day it is. We answer around the clock and never charge extra for nights, weekends or holidays.
Family-Owned Since 1996
Nearly 30 years of serving Longmont homeowners, and a 100% satisfaction guarantee on every faucet, valve and fixture we touch.
Our 4-Step Process
Simple, predictable and clean, whether it is one faucet or a full set of new fixtures.
Describe the Problem
Dripping, leaking, sticking, weak flow or a new fixture to install. A quick description helps us bring the right parts the first time.
Inspect & Quote
We check the fixture, valve, supply lines and shutoffs, find the real cause and give you an upfront price for repair and, if it applies, for replacement.
Repair or Install
Worn parts are replaced with quality components, or the old fixture is removed and the new one mounted, sealed and connected with fresh supply lines.
Test & Walk Through
We run hot and cold, check every connection for leaks, confirm pressure and temperature and leave the area clean.
Faucet & Fixture Questions
Is it worth repairing a dripping faucet or should I just replace it?
If the faucet is a quality brand and the body is in good shape, a cartridge or seat replacement is usually quick and affordable. If it is a builder-grade unit, badly corroded, or parts are no longer available, a new faucet often costs little more than the repair and comes with fresh internals. We will price both so you can choose.
Why does my shower get scalding hot when someone flushes a toilet?
That is a sign the shower valve lacks pressure balancing, which is common in older Longmont homes. When another fixture draws cold water, the mix shifts hot. Modern pressure-balancing or thermostatic valves hold the temperature steady. Replacing the valve is a bigger job than a cartridge swap, but it removes a real scald risk, especially for kids and older adults.
Does hard water really wear out faucets faster?
Yes. The minerals in Front Range water build up on aerators, cartridges and valve seats, which causes drips, stiff handles and reduced flow. Cleaning aerators regularly helps, and a whole-home water softener protects every fixture at once. If you are replacing fixtures repeatedly, treating the water may be the better long-term investment.
Can you install a faucet or fixture I bought online?
Absolutely. Bring us the box and we will install it. Before we start we check that it fits your sink's hole configuration, that the supply connections match and that nothing in the fixture will cause trouble later. If there is a compatibility issue, we tell you before the old fixture comes out.
What is the water under my kitchen sink coming from?
The usual suspects are the drain assembly and P-trap, the faucet supply connections, a leaking sprayer hose, or the dishwasher connection. A seep from the faucet base can also run down the back of the sink and show up in the cabinet. We trace it to the source rather than guessing and fix the actual leak.
Do you replace outdoor hose bibs?
Yes. Older spigots that drip, will not shut off fully or have been damaged by freezing are a common repair here. We typically replace them with frost-free models that shut the water off inside the heated wall, which greatly reduces the chance of a burst pipe during a Longmont cold snap.
