Toilet Repair & Installation in Longmont, CO
The toilet that will not stop running, rocks when you sit down or leaves a puddle on the floor is costing you water and patience. We fix it, or replace it, the same day whenever we can.
Toilet Repair in Longmont From Plumbers Who Fix It Right
A toilet is the hardest-working fixture in the house, and it is also the one most likely to be quietly wasting water. A flapper that no longer seals, a fill valve stuck open or a cracked wax ring can run up your water bill or soak the subfloor for months before anyone notices. Most of these problems are small and inexpensive to fix, if they are fixed properly.
M&M Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electrical has repaired, replaced and installed toilets in Longmont homes since 1996. Our licensed plumbers arrive with the parts for the most common repairs on the truck, so a running toilet, a leak at the base or a wobbly bowl is usually fixed in a single visit. We work on every style, from decades-old tanks to modern low-flow and dual-flush models, and we use quality components rather than the cheapest part on the shelf.
When a toilet is cracked, chronically clogging because of an outdated design, or simply at the end of its life, we will tell you honestly and help you choose a replacement that fits your bathroom, your water bill and your budget. Newer toilets use a fraction of the water older models did, and in a household with several people the savings add up quickly.
Toilet backed up rather than broken? Our drain team handles that. Otherwise, let us know what you are seeing and we will get a plumber headed your way.
Toilet Problems We Fix Every Day
Most toilet trouble falls into one of these categories. All of them are worth a call before they become a bigger repair.
Constantly Running Toilet
A toilet that runs between flushes, or cycles on by itself, is usually a worn flapper, a misadjusted float or a failing fill valve. It can waste a surprising amount of water every day until it is fixed.
Leaking at the Base
Water around the bottom of the bowl after a flush points to a failed wax ring or loose closet bolts. Left alone, that water works into the subfloor and can rot it out beneath the tile.
Wobbling or Rocking Bowl
A toilet that shifts when you sit down has loose bolts, a broken flange or floor damage underneath. Every rock breaks the seal a little more, so the sooner it is reseated the better.
Weak or Incomplete Flush
If it takes two flushes to clear the bowl, the cause may be a worn flapper closing too soon, mineral-clogged rim jets from our hard water, a low water level in the tank or a partial blockage in the trap.
Cracked Tank or Bowl
Hairline cracks in porcelain can spread without warning and release a lot of water fast. A cracked tank or bowl is not repairable and should be replaced before it fails completely.
Replacement & New Installation
Upgrading to a water-saving model, swapping in a comfort-height toilet, or adding a toilet to a new basement bath. We remove the old unit, set the new one on a fresh seal and make sure it is level and leak-free.
- Low-flow and dual-flush models
- Comfort-height and elongated bowls
- New rough-ins for remodels
The M&M Difference
A toilet repair is a small job. We treat it like it matters, because to you it does.
Parts on the Truck
Flappers, fill valves, wax rings, supply lines and bolts for the common brands ride with us, so most repairs are finished in one visit without a trip to the supply house.
Upfront Pricing
You hear the price before we touch a wrench, and we will tell you plainly when a repair is not worth it compared to a new toilet. No upselling, no surprises.
24/7, No Overtime Charge
A toilet pouring water onto the floor at 11 p.m. is an emergency. We answer around the clock, and nights and weekends cost no more than a weekday.

Toilet Repair Questions
Why does my toilet keep running after I flush?
The most common cause is a flapper that no longer seals the bottom of the tank, letting water trickle into the bowl and triggering the fill valve to run. A float set too high, a worn fill valve or a chain that is too short can do the same thing. Longmont's hard water tends to shorten the life of these rubber and plastic parts, so it is a frequent repair here.
Is water around the base of the toilet serious?
Yes, more than most people assume. That water usually means the wax ring has failed, and every flush sends a little more under the floor where it soaks the subfloor and can lead to rot or mold. Resetting the toilet on a new seal is a quick repair now. Replacing a rotted floor later is not.
Should I repair my old toilet or replace it?
If the porcelain is sound and the problem is a flapper, fill valve or seal, repair is the better value. If the toilet is cracked, needs repeated plunging because of an old design, or uses several gallons per flush, a new water-saving model often pays for itself over time. We will give you both prices and let you decide.
My toilet is clogged. Is that a repair call?
A clog is a drain issue rather than a toilet repair, and our sewer and drain team handles it. If a toilet clogs over and over, though, it may be a weak flush caused by worn parts or mineral-clogged jets, or a sign of a deeper problem in the drain line. Describe what is happening when you call and we will send the right team.
How long does it take to install a new toilet?
Replacing a toilet in the same location usually takes an hour or two, including removing the old unit, cleaning and inspecting the flange, setting the new toilet on a fresh seal and testing it. If the flange is damaged or the floor needs attention, it can take longer, and we will let you know before proceeding.
Do you install toilets I bought myself?
Yes. If you have already picked out a toilet from a home center or showroom, we are happy to install it. We will also tell you if anything about the rough-in or the model will cause a problem before we start, so there are no surprises once the old toilet is out.
